The blues is like corn liquor to Scissormen's Ted Drozdowski. It gets him buzzed, makes his hands shake. And they won't stop until he grabs a guitar, puts a steel slide on his finger and starts playing them himself. Although he was born a poor white boy in a rundown New England industrial city, Ted's blues blends the sounds he's heard in the Mississippi hills with the rock 'n' roll attitude that fired his earlier bands including psychedelic guitar demons Devil Gods. That's why Scissormen's debut Jinx Breakers embraces both the deepest roots and brightest future of the blues.
